About myself

Hey, just wanted to tell you that I was born and raised in Price, Utah. Love Utah. One of the prettiest states in the union. To most, it’s all sun and desert, but my hometown usually received roughly 150 inches of snow each year. Maybe it’s this beautiful blend of nature — hot and cold, sand and snow — that helped shape me into the artist I am today. Or maybe it’s because Price was a town of roughly 12,000 people, and I was forced to find creative ways to keep myself occupied and entertained. Heck, any of you out there from small towns certainly know what I’m talking about.

The belief in God, and all my years sat perched atop the cushioned pews of my church, also played a significant part in leading me toward a life involving art. It wasn’t really a big surprise to my family and friends when I began taking art classes since grade school. And there was little shock and awe when I made art

my lifelong career after college. But I’m not all about art. I’m an avid rock climber. I enjoy repelling down steep cliff faces. I begin to itch if I don’t snowboard every few months, and I’m a decent putter out on the greens. Concerning the wonderful sport of golf, I’ll be honest with you — if I could have made a career with a nine-iron, I wouldn't see myself as the artistic designer I am today. Sadly, seeing that my 13-handicap hasn’t dramatically improved since my high school days, it’s probably wise to stick with designing. And in the end, that’s okay with me.

As far as my personal life’s concerned, I’m married to a beautiful woman and we both share our house with a gorgeous little daughter, Peyton. And like any young family, we hope to add a new addition to the family as soon as possible. So this is just a tiny peek into the person that Nathan Brockbank is. So just you know, if we ever hook up together on the golf greens, please go easy on me. It’s appreciated.
